Patricia Elaine Loughner Rusk died on March 22, 2021. It took ovarian cancer, chemo, debulking surgery, a stroke, breast cancer, a mastectomy and metastatic colon cancer to finish her off. And she was pissed!
Pat was a teacher for 35 years and loved all children. Hundreds of them returned her love and were better off for having spent a year in her classroom. Her grandchildren, however, will always be the "teacher's pets". Quincy, Chase, Gracie, Drew, Dante and Ethan will never pick up a book without being reminded of "Grandma Grandma".
She is survived by the love of her life, her partner and best friend for 47 years, Rich Rusk, who promised her he would continue living and loving. She also leaves behind her amazing daughters, Kate Rusk Gressman and Emily Goss, who will do their best to carry on her legacy, and her chosen daughters, Trina Sheen and Laurin Crossin. Friends - and there are so many of you - can honor her by looking after each other.
In lieu of flowers, please reach out and lift up those less fortunate, use good grammar, join a union, and vote Democrat.
We'll love you forever, we'll like you for always...
