Pat, a talented fiber artist, avid bridge player and frequent traveler, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2016 in her home with her family watching over her. Pat was born January 20, 1928 to Marguerite and George Sellers. She was raised in Ogden, Utah by Marguerite and Paul Groff. She grew up surrounded by cousins and friends. Pat met her true sweetheart, Frank McFarland, on August 19, 1944. Following World War II, they traveled to Boulder to attend the University of Colorado where she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Pat and Frank were married December 29, 1948. Together they moved throughout the country, raising a daughter and two sons. The family eventually settled again in Ogden. Pat was an active and involved grandmother to her two granddaughters. Pat is survived by her beloved husband, Frank McFarland; her daughter, Joan Dallof; her son, Steven McFarland (Meg King-McFarland); and her granddaughters, Sarah Dallof Evenhuis (Alexander Evenhuis) and Melissa Dallof (Shane Farver). She is preceded in death by her mother, Marguerite Sellers Groff Flickenger; her father, George Sellers; her second father, Paul Groff; and her son, Douglas Paul McFarland. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 12:30 to 1:15 pm.
