Pauline Rich Nichols passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sept. 17, 2013 at the Family Tree Assisted Living in West Point Utah at the age of 90. Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Pauline was born in Morgan, UT on April 12, 1923 to Raymond and Luella Rich of Morgan. Pauline was the youngest of six children and the last surviving sibling. Pauline attended Morgan High School and graduated in the class of 1941. Pauline was student body vice president and Baton twirler in the band. During her senior year the band was chosen to perform for "Shirley Temple" in SLC. In 1945 Pauline was chosen as the 1945 war Bond Queen from Morgan and was "runner-up" in the 1945 War Bond Queen of Utah.
June 27, 1942 Pauline eloped with Keith E. Nichols to Malad Idaho and were married happily for 58 years till Keith passed away Sept. 10, 2000.
Pauline was active in the First Christian Church. She belonged to the Christian Womens Fellowship and the weekly womens bible study group.
Pauline was a strong, positive and a wonderful influence in all of her children and grandchildrens lives and any other persons she came into contact with. Pauline had a wonderful spirit and beautiful personality and anyone who knew her understands the greatness of her heart.
Pauline is survived by her three children: Penny (Scott) Russell, Ronald Keith (Virginia) Nichols and Alan Scott (Teresa) Nichols. Pauline is survived by 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.
A viewing will be held Saturday Sept. 21, 2013, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to a Graveside Service at 11:00 at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park and Mortuary, 836 36th Street.
A reception following at Leavitts Waterfall Atrium, same address, celebrating Paulines wonderful life. The family would like to express their gratefulness for the wonderful staff of the family tree and hospice for the outstanding care they provided to Pauline.
