Peggy Jo Parker, sister, mother, friend, age 86, passed peacefully away on June 16, 2021, in South Ogden, Utah. She was born in Trenton, TN, on April 5, 1935, to Gid Kirkland Wilson and Edith Nancy Bell Surratt.
Peggy was a sharecropper’s daughter and lived a full life. She gave so much to so many and was gifted and talented in many ways.
She often shared her love of gardening, cooking, and decorating. She loved to sing and often sang with her church choir. She volunteered often to help others in such good causes as Vacation Bible School, a Candy Striper in the local hospital, and as a volunteer to fund raise for cancer research.
Her house and yard were always neat as a pin and a joy to behold.
She loved charity causes and donated as much as possible. She had a great love of God and lived her to life to emulate his teachings to the best of her ability.
She will be missed, but the hope of eternity assures us we will see her again someday.
She is survived by her daughters; Edie Purkiss, Lisa Haynes, and Susan Green three sisters; Cinda Childress, Brenda Neace, and Debbie Bennett; a brother Roger Wilson; nine grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by a son, Richard Haynes, and her late husband, Robert N. Parker.
