Phillip Keith Smith, 76, passed away the morning of December 26, after a year long battle with cancer. He was born January 12, 1938 to Clem and Ida Smith in Ogden, Utah. Phil graduated from Ogden High School. He married the love of his life, Joan Smith, of Ogden and together they had two daughters, Nikki and Shauna. He and Joan enjoyed playing bridge together. Phil also enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, and spending time at his second home in Coronado Cays, California. He was a huge fan of Weber State athletics and was a season ticket holder to both the football and basketball games since 1974. He never missed a game. He was aavid sports fan andtraveled to Hawaii and recently St. Thomas to watch the Weber State basketball team play. He was also able to see the Boston Red Sox playat Fenway Park,which was his favorite baseball team. Phil is survived by his daughter: Nikki (Jamie) Harris, of Ogden with his two grandchildren Caden and Jada; his daughter: Stephanie (Ron) Guyadeen of California. His stepchildren: Rick (Julie) Anderson of Salt Lake; Tab Anderson of Ogden; Lori Gilliam of Indiana. Multiple step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Phil is preceded in death by his wife Joan, their daughter Shauna and his parents Clem and Ida Smith. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 - 36th Street, Ogden at 11 am. Friends may visit with family on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and prior to the services from 10:00 - 10:45 am at Leavitts Mortuary. Interment will follow at Ogden City Cemetery.
