Ralph Eugene Droscher's Obituary

Beloved husband, father and grandfather, Ralph Eugene Droscher, 95, passed away, Monday, January 18, 2016. He was born February 22, 1920 to Henry and Isabell Afdahl Droscher in Shelton, Washington. Ralph graduated from Irene S. Reed High School in 1938. He married the love of his life, June Caldwell on January 29, 1943 in Seattle, Washington. They would have celebrated their 73rd Wedding Anniversary on January 29th. Dad worked for the Boeing Company for 38 years. He started in the airplane assembly line and later was a supervisor for the Minute Man Missile program. He was a sergeant in the Army Air Force and served in Okinawa. Mike and dad recently were able to go on an honor flight to Washington DC. Ralph was an avid outdoors man, enjoying fishing and hunting and camping. Ralph and June traveled extensively after retirement and had many adventures. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ogden where he was active in the Share the Harvest and the Annual Rummage Sale. He was a proud lifetime member of the Elks. Ralph is survived by his wife, June; sons, Mike (Susan) of Layton, Utah, Mardy (Carolyn) of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Todd (Debbie) of Norman, Oklahoma; daughter, Marilyn (Cliff) Hayden of Perry, Utah; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Paul, Charles, Don, Elma and grandson, Dustin Droscher. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 3:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 880 28th Street, Ogden, Utah. Friends may visit with the family prior to services from 2:00 to 2:45 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Roy Elks, 1875 West 5200 South, in his name. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice and Mt. Ridge Assisted Living for their loving care. Services under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
