Ramona Cordilia Davies, affectionately known as Mona by her loved ones, passed away peacefully surrounded by loving family, on September 29, 2024, at the age of 78 in Roy, Utah. Born on February 12, 1946, in Espanola, New Mexico, Mona was a beacon of light and joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She touched the hearts of many with her friendly and selfless nature. Mona's love for her family was paramount, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her devoted husband, Edwin; her loving children, daughter Tina Wells (Art) and son Rus McVay (Stacie); her adored grandsons, Micheal, Zachary, and Jacob; her treasured granddaughter, Kaylee; and her delightful great-grandsons, Zane and Evan. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Edie Alire, and many loving family members.
Mona loved to crochet, creating countless afghans that served as tangible expressions of her love. Her intricate designs and vibrant colors brought comfort and beauty to many. Her crocheted afghans are cherished heirlooms that carry her legacy of love and caring.
Her presence was a gift to the world, and she will be profoundly missed by all who were fortunate enough to feel the warmth of her love and friendship.
As we bid farewell to Mona, we celebrate her life and her joy of family. We honor her memory by remembering the love she so freely gave and the smiles she so easily inspired. Mona's story is not one of an ending, but a lasting legacy that continues to light the way for her family and friends.
In honor of her radiant spirit, we remember Mona as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, auntie, and friend. Her influence will continue to be felt, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Mona's journey on earth may have concluded, but her story endures, written in the lives of her family and the countless others she touched with her extraordinary kindness. Her spirit, a blend of grace and resilience, will forever be a testament of the beauty of a life well lived.
