Ray Glen Harrop passed away at his home, in Ogden Utah, on Thursday July 6, 2023.

Ray, the son of Walter Glenn Harrop and Doris Ruth (Taylor) Harrop, was born on June 24, 1960, in Ogden Utah.  He is the oldest of two children.

Ray grew up in the Shupe Edition Neighborhood, just west of the 4th Street Ball Parks, in Ogden.  Ray was a graduate of Ben Lomond High School and also attended Weber State University.  Ray worked for Thesco, HAFB, Levolor, FMC Jetway and Treehouse Foods.  He enjoyed delivery and production type work. 

Ray played on several slow pitch softball teams and enjoyed pitching.  He enjoyed playing on a Co-Ed Softball Team, with his sister Kristine, and was very competitive.

Ray enjoyed computers.  He built several and was always willing to help neighbors and friends with their computers.  He spent many hours learning how to build and operate them.  Ray also enjoyed hunting, swimming, riding waverunners and camping.

Ray is survived by his sister Kristine Harrop.  He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents.

To honor Rays request, no funeral or memorial service will be held.  Internment of his ashes will be at Aultorest Memorial Park.

Special thanks to Mary Diarte, a lifelong neighbor, who kept a close eye on him and delivered home cooked meals to him on a regular basis.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society in Ray Harrop’s Name.
