Rebecca Barker Lee, 63, daughter of Leonard and Juanita Barker passed away calmly, relaxed and mindful of the blessings she has been given in her life on Tuesday, April 15, 2014. Rebecca had the best childhood ever with 10 siblings and wonderful parents, with never a dull moment. Forty-six years ago she married her high school sweetheart John R. Lee in the Salt Lake Temple. Their life has been blessed with a beautiful family; Christine (deceased) Ronnie & Janine Andersen, Aaron Lee (Jen), Brian Lee (Mandi), Jacob Lee (Jennifer), Emily Rogers (Mike), Lyndee Porter (Spencer), Elizabeth Johnson (Tim), John David and Nathan (also deceased). They were blessed with 29 grandchildren. She has always been active and held many callings in the LDS church, which has blessed her life immensely. She currently resides in the North Ogden 17th ward. She was blessed with the gift of discernment to glean the truth from all sources, and the ability to teach that truth to others. She has always had an abiding faith in her Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ as there has never been darkness in her mind. She has had a well rounded life; physically, mentally, and spiritually. Her jovial spirit and a light heart has not only been a lifetime blessing to her but to those who know her. She was loved by many, especially her children and grandchildren who adored her and will miss her greatly. She had a great love for the outdoors and enjoyed many hikes and camping trips with her family. She was a true example of a Christ like person and you never heard her speak an unkind word. Her posterity will strive to live by her example. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the North Ogden 17th Ward, 386 E Elberta Dr., North Ogden. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the church and also from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm prior to the service. Services under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, UT. Interment will be at Ben Lomond Cemetery.
