IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Renee
Warner
October 12, 1932 – June 20, 2025
An Extraordinary Life of Faith, Service, and Love
Renee Neuenschwander Warner, a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, missionary, and true matriarch, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of June 20, 2025, at the age of 92. Her long and beautiful life was a powerful example of what it means to live with purpose, faith, and unshakable love.
Renee was born on October 12, 1932, to Clarence Albert Neuenschwander and Claire Farr Olsen Neuenschwander. Raised in a home rich with music, heritage, and testimony, she grew into a woman of extraordinary strength, intellect, and spiritual depth. On November 13, 1952, she was sealed to her eternal companion, Dale James Warner, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and service.
A gifted educator, Renee taught history and English at Sunset Junior High for 20 years, where she was known for her sharp mind, high expectations, and genuine care for every student.
Renee was an accomplished pianist, and music was woven through every stage of her life. She gave her final recital at the age of 91, a remarkable testament to her passion and discipline. Throughout her life, Renee was a proud and active member of SEMPRE, Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and the Miss Dae, and Literature Club—organizations that reflected her love of learning, culture, and heritage.
Her service in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was expansive and lifelong. She faithfully fulfilled callings as Relief Society President, Young Women's President, and Primary President, always leading with vision, warmth, and testimony. Up until a month before her death she was serving as the pianist in the Relief Society at the Crestwood Care Center. With Dale, she became the first missionary couple to serve in the St. Petersburg, Russia Mission and shortly after they returned home from Russia they were called to serve as Mission Presidents in the Bulgaria Sofia and Armenia Yerevan Mission. Renee loved and mentored many missionaries, and remained deeply connected with many of them for the rest of her life.
Renee was a force—steadfast, passionate, and bold in her convictions. She never passed up a moment to share her love of the gospel with her children, grandchildren, and anyone she met. Her testimony was deep, personal, and shared freely in both word and action.
Renee's family was her greatest joy. She was a constant, cheering presence at every game, performance, and special moment. She especially cherished the years spent attending horse shows with her son David and grandson Andy. She also had a very special bond with her sister Karen and spent many years traveling and enjoying time with her.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents, her dear husband Dale and other beloved family members. She is survived by her children Jane W. James (Doug Rey), Peggy (Steve) Fishburn, David (Liz) Warner, Scott Warner and Diane Green, 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, her sister Karen Gall, nieces and nephews, and many others who were blessed by her powerful influence.
Private graveside services will be held for the family.
Her legacy of faith, strength, and love will continue to bless generations to come.
"Her faith never wavered, her hands never rested, and her love never ran out."
