Rich Petersen, 69, passed away June 5, 2019 due to complications with COPD. He was born December 2, 1949 in Ogden to Harold Leroy Petersen and Fay Alice Howard Brown. Rich graduated from Roy High School in 1967. He married DuNan Pond from Roy in 1969 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Rich was in the Air Force for a short period on time, then enjoyed years as security officer which finally ended with medical retirement from Freeport Center in Clearfield, Utah. He was a very dedicated worker. Rich is survived by one brother, Kent Petersen, two daughters, Brandi Roberts and Bobbi Crowley (Clyde), and four Grandchildren. Rich is preceded in death by his father, Harold in 1981; his stepfather, Bob Brown in 1973; and mother, Fay, in 2014. He spent many years living with and taking care of his mother, Fay until she passed. He was a wonderful son, father, brother, cousin, friend, and well all miss him very much. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah, 84403. Family will greet friends prior to the service from 9:45 - 10:45 a,m. Interment at Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
