Richard Keith Douglas Sr. March 12, 1921 ~ June 24, 2014 Pleasant View- R. Keith Douglas, 93, died June 24, 2014 with his family by his side. Keith was born March 12, 1921 in Ogden, Utah, the son of Walter J. and Mary Myrtle Leavitt Douglas; where he was also reared and educated. Keith married Billie Marie OBrien on April 6, 1942 in Pocatello, ID. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple in Utah. He was a faithful member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Keith and Billie served in the Ogden Temple for 12 years. Keith was a World War II veteran, serving three years with the US Coast Guard. He retired from the railroad with 42 years of service. Keith was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and a great-great grandfather. He loved spending time fishing, hunting, camping, and traveling with his family. Keith is survived by his wife Billie, one daughter and three sons; Diane Douglas, Richard (Pam) Douglas Jr., Brent (Wendy) Douglas and Jeffrey (Carolyn) Douglas, all of Pleasant View. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. Keith is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Clyde, Bill, Don, and Grant; sister Ruth Busche, and one great grandson. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, UT. Arrangements under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
