Richard Earl Roark's Obituary

Our loved dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa passed away on November 9, 2017, in Ogden, UT at the age of 68. He was born on September 20, 1949, to Lois Rhoades and Floyd Earl Roark in Provo, UT. He resided in Utah, California, Arizona, Tennessee, coming back to Utah the remainder of his days. He graduated from Clayton Valley High School in Concord, CA in 1967. After graduation, he moved to Utah to spend time with his high school sweetheart. Upon moving, Richard married Carolyn Ruth Salisbury at the end of 1967. They had two children, Karen Michelle and Richard Scott. They were later divorced. In 1986, he married Tina Watson Makin. They had one child, Kelli Nicole. They later divorced. Richard was a free-spirited, loving man. He enjoyed watching football and baseball; his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys (Football) and Los Angeles Dodgers (Baseball). He loved music and often would quiz his kids and grandchildren about musicians, albums, and songs. A couple of his favorites included Pink Floyd and Billy Joel. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Richard was a great friend to many. In the past few years, he had special friends, Nate and Ashley Robinson, who were there for him and helped take care of him when needed. Richard is survived by one brother, Gene; his children, Karen (James) Larsen, R. Scott, and Kelli; seven grandchildren as well as five great-grandchildren with two on the way. Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Foxboro North Clubhouse, 1080 Amberly Drive, North Salt Lake, UT. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories for the celebration of Richards life. Services under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary. Service Information Date: Wednesday, November 15, 2017 Time: 4:00 pm - Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, November 15, 2017, from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Foxboro North Clubhouse, 1080 Amberly Drive, North Salt Lake, UT. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories for the celebration of Richards life.
