IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Richard
Skinner
August 23, 1929 – February 7, 2024
Richard Skinner 94, of Ogden passed away peacefully on February 7th, 2024.
Richard was born on August 23, 1929, to William and Grace Skinner in Ogden, Utah.
In 1951 Richard married Darras in Virginia. Then he enlisted in the Navy and served 4 dedicated years as a seaman. They later moved to his hometown of Ogden, Utah where they had their 2 children, Barry and Patricia.
Richard was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, and fish with family and friends. He loved reading and had a variety of books collection and was a lover of the classic old western shows. He was a roofer by trade and a skillful mechanic that would work on older vehicles in his spare time and was willing to help people.
Richard served in the Korean War and was much respected from his service to our country by all. The V.A. hospital and the clinics who took care of his medical needs, Richard and his family are forever grateful. Richard loved his family and friends coming to visit. He was a great host and he'd share all the ice cream and his favorite treats with.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia, grandchildren Joshua (Virginia) Wheatley, Ashley (Armando) Agavo, Tyler (Julianne) Skinner and 7 beautiful great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Grace, his sisters Ann and Betty, his brothers; Warren, Bill, Ray, and his son Barry.
A huge thanks goes out to his CNS hospice friends, Andrea that were a supportive help for caring for him in his home. Also, to Patricia his daughter who was his dedicated caregiver who spent his last years taking care of her dads every need. To Ashley, Armando, Robert and Jimmy for all of your loving help in his care and for his home.
