Syracuse, Utah -Robert Winston Calder passed away peacefully on July 6th, surrounded by his family.
Born September 17, 1944 in Ogden, Utah to Winston and Aileen Calder, graduated from Weber High School in 1964.
He worked at the Ben Lomond Hotel and Ogden City Mall.
Bob was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout his life.
He was blessed with many wonderful friends and he earned a place in the hearts of many because of his genuine interest in people and his great sense of humor. Bob always had a story to share and a song to sing, he was quick-witted and caring. Bob has touched our lives deeply and will always be remembered.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Tonia Eatough. He is survived by 12 siblings: Lynda (Rex) Stacy, Rex (Mary) Calder, Chris (Darrell) Brixey, Var (Vickie) Calder, Denise (Steve) Powell-Davies, Ferrin (Debbie) Calder, Verlane Tucker, Myrna (Jack) Hodson, Karla (Rick) Hawks, Jay (Becky) Calder, Ace Brent (Margene) Calder, Rhonda (Jim) Furlong, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 11, 2014 in the Syracuse Stake Center at 1350 S. 1800 W., Syracuse, UT. Viewings Thursday, July 10th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 - 36th St., Ogden, UT. and Friday, July 11th from 9:45 am to 10:45 am at the chapel prior to the funeral.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to their sister, Lynda, for her wonderful care and support.
Interment will be in the Liberty Cemetery.
