Our beloved husband, father, son, papa, brother, and uncle Robert 'Bob' Blaine Doman, age 69, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018.
He was born July 23, 1948, to Blaine Russell and Betty Jackson Doman. He grew up in Roy, Utah and graduated from Roy High School.
He married Beverly Friedman in 1968 and had three children, later divorced. At the time of his passing, he was married to Vicki Lechtenberg Stanley.
Robert served in the military for 42 years. He retired as a 'Chief' Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force working at the Utah Air National Guard. He was a Facility Manager for the 151st Civil Engineering Squadron and was very passionate about his job and 'taking care' of the military troops.
He was known for his 'no-nonsense' attitude both professionally and personally but that never overshadowed his heart of gold and his personality that was bigger than life.
He lived life to the fullest. Always on the go, you would rarely find him at home. He loved to travel around the world, snow ski, golf and spend time at his cabin in Bear Lake. He loved to watch football and was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan. He always had classic country music playing at home or in his truck and he loved the holidays!! His excitement over decorating, shopping and the element of surprise when opening gifts was sometimes greater than his grandkids.
Of all the things he did, spending time with his kids and grandkids is what he loved most. He was a dedicated Dad and 'Papa'. Although he was a man of few words, his love for his kids could be seen in everything he did for them.
He was a troublemaker at times as well. One of his favorite things to do was grab one of his kid's knees when they weren't looking causing them to launch 50 feet in the air. He attended every sporting event he could for all 13 of his grandkids and could always be heard cheering in the stands.
He is survived by his wife Vicki; three children, Bobbi (Paul) Noorda, Jacki (Chad) Cameron, Jason (Lacie) Doman; three step-children, Stephanie (Brett) Waddoups, Sheila Fullmer, Jake Stanley; thirteen grandchildren, Bailee, Jack, Robby, Luke, Kobe, Ruby Chase, Collin (Julia) Waddoups, Carlie, Ashlyn, Devin, Jalyn, Zane; mother, Betty Jackson Doman; two siblings, Pamela (Kevin) Porter, Lori (Troy) Creamer; many nieces and nephews; and his fur-baby Bri.
He was preceded in death by his father.
