Robert Lyle Eddy Sr.Robert Lyle Eddy Sr. passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012 surrounded by loved ones. Bob was born May 12, 1934 in Ogden to William and Ada Eddy. He was raised in Ogden; he graduated from Ogden High School in 1953 and attended Weber State College prior to being drafted into the United States Army. He served from 1956-1958 fighting in the Korean War. After returning to Ogden he was employed with the Railroads, DDO and retired from H.A.F.B. Bob married Barbara Cleo Pritchett on August 22, 1962. They were later divorced but remained close friends. Bob loved to tinker in his garage; there wasnt anything he couldnt fix or build. He was always willing to give a helping hand. One of his favorite pastimes was watching old western movies. Above everything Bob loved his family. He was the true example of a "FAMILY MAN." He never missed a camping or hunting trip or hosting the family BBQ. Bob is survived by two brothers: William H. Eddy (Melbourne, FL), Quent Eddy (Ogden), two children: Robert Lyle Jr., and Cynthia K. Fields, two step-children: Rocky O. Haines and Ideana Evans, five grandchildren: Amber Eddy, Sharlana Blomquist, Kaleb Eddy, Kyra and Ashley Fields and six step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Larry and Alfred Eddy and one sister, Marjorie Loy. Memorial services and a celebration of Bobs life will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden at 2:00 p.m. followed immediately by a luncheon. Family will greet guests one hour prior to services.
