Robert was born on April 21, 1947 to Lorin Edward & Elaine Taylor Frost in Ogden, Utah. He was the second of four children. He passed away at home October 31, 2014 from a quick battle with liver cancer. Robert married his high school sweetheart, Kathryn Gray Frost on July 11, 1968. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS temple on April 25, 1987. Robert and Kathy truly lived the dream for 46 years. Robert was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He had a firm testimony in the gospel. Robert was always a hard worker. He started young with a paper route and washing dishes at China Temple. He served in the Army/Air Force Reserves for twelve years and worked at HAFB. He enjoyed buying, fixing, selling boats and trucks. While working at Eaton Kenway he worked in 43 states, his family often traveled with him. Robert was an electrician and a Relator. His most unusual job was managing the Halloween Shop every year; this was a family experience. Roberts ideal job started in 1997 when he earned his Captains license and began halibut chartering in Alaska with his son, Justin. Roberts dream of Halibut charters will continue with Justin, he left behind a great legacy and large shoes to fill. Robert was a true sportsman; he always enjoyed the outdoors and hunting/fishing. He created many memories with family and friends during numerous hunting and camping trips. He loved to sit around the campfire telling stories or teaching songs like Chantilly Lace. During his first years of marriage, he and Kathy spent every weekend in Yellowstone. In 1980, Robert was thrilled to go on a once in a life time trip to Alaska with his brother in law, Duane Brian. This trip became a yearly occurrence for Robert and eventually brought him to the dream of having a second home in Alaska where he guided halibut charters. He had a special place in his heart for Alaska and the many friends there. Robert enjoyed numerous outdoor activities like four wheeling, hiking, scuba diving, waterskiing, motorcycling and snow skiing. He also enjoyed playing tennis; he was thrilled when his granddaughters started playing. Robert loved traveling, whether it was Hawaii, New Orleans, California, Arizona, Lake Powell, Alaska, Florida or Mexico, it did not matter. He enjoyed all the destinations and was willing to go on the next adventure with a moments notice. Robert most of all loved his family; he was blessed with two children, JennyLynn in 1973 and Justin Robert in 1974. He often said he had a favorite daughter and a favorite son. Robert especially loved his eight grandchildren. He supported and cheered for their many activities. Robert and Kathy could often be found at band/choir concerts, plays or on the soccer field. Through the years, he held numerous season passes to Disneyland in order to spend time with them. He truly impacted their lives; daily talking with them via phone, text or video chat. Robert was a great storyteller; his grandkids will miss his fun and exciting stories the most. Robert is survived by his wife and best friend, Kathy Frost of Pleasant View; his children, Jenny (Tyler) Carr of Farmington, Justin (Lori) Frost of West Point and his eight grandchildren: McKinley, Whitney, Kendall, Xander, Brecon, Logan, Robert & Jaxen. Robert is also survived by his three siblings, Brent, Kenny & Joanne. A memorial for Robert will be held in April. Details of the memorial will be sent out via Facebook and email.
