Robert "Bob" Vaughn Jones passed away March 7, 2013. He was born February 5, 1929 in North Platte, Nebraska, the second of four children born to Robert Floyd and Vivian Jones.He attended school in North Platte, and then in Ogden when his family moved here in 1946. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1948. He later studied electronics at WellTech College in Salt Lake City.He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions, including ward clerk and stake missionary. He enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, gardening, photography, fishing, hunting and prospecting.He was employed with the Union Pacific and Southern Pacific Railroads and the Rocky Mountain Arsenal in Roy. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as a repairman in the photo shop, and with aerial cameras and missile guidance systems. He retired in 1984.He served in the Utah National Guard for six years as a flight line mechanic and in communications.He is survived by his brother Morris E. Jones; sister-in-law Dianne Jones; brother-in-law Bob Whiting, and many nieces and nephews.
