Robert Paul Wheeler Reading passed away at his home on December 5, 2012. He was born on December 29, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Leo S. Wheeler and Signe Rachel Sundell. He grew up in Murray, Utah. During World War II, he was in the Army Air Corp. serving in the Pacific. He attended Salt Lake Vocational School studying architectural drafting. This turned out to be not only his career but a lifelong love. He married Ruth Ludean Bachman on February 16, 1951; in the Salt Lake Temple. They had 4 children. Bob retired from McKay Dee Hospital as Director of Engineering on December 31, 1989.He loved to make models from planes, boats and presentations for buildings. He was an active member of the Hosler Rail Road Club and enjoyed with his friends building and showing their layouts as the Cold Water group. Bob was an active member of the LDS Church. He served as a missionary in Norway and held many positions.Bob is survived by his wife, Ruth, son, Ronald (Mari) of Las Vegas, NV. Daughters: Cindi (Randy) Ward, of West Warren, UT., and Teresa (Robert) Mohn, of Ogden, UT. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, his Pop Rolla Ray Reading, daughter Raylene and his sister. As a family we wish to thank Heats for Hospice for the kind loving care given to Bob. Family will meet with friends on Friday, December 7, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Private funeral services will be held for Bob.
