Robert (Bob) Harold ShupeRobert Harold Shupe passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, March 24, 2012 from prostate cancer.Dad was born on October 16, 1925, in Ogden, UT to Harold and Jane Kennedy Shupe. He was raised in Ogden and graduated from Ogden High School. Dad was in the 4A club and was very athletic in school. Upon graduation he volunteered to join the Navy during WWII and was later discharged. After his discharge Dad met the love of his life, Elaine Allan, while working at Defense Depot of Ogden and shortly later was married June 4, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. Elaine passed away December 2009. Dad was an avid golfer and worked/ran Royal Greens Golf Course for 20+ years. He loved being involved in the Ladies Association and going down to Wendover on their annual bus ride. In his younger years Dad was also an avid bowler and enjoyed bowling on several different leagues. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, attending the Roy 4th Ward. After the passing of mom, he lived for spending time with his children and grandchild.Dad is survived by two sons Rodney and Brian (Tami), and one daughter Debbie (Jim) Kopecky, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one brother Lewis Shupe. A Cryptside service will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Mausoleum, 836 36th St. Ogden, at 11:00 am on Friday, March 30, 2012. Friends may call on Thursday from 6-8 pm and one hour prior to the service at Leavitts Mortuary. Interment Leavitts Aultorest Mausoleum.
