Our loving father Robert White, 88 passed away October 1, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was a renowned Baker and cake decorator for Whites Community Bakery, baking instructor for Thiokol Job Corp, cartoonist, painter, builder and wonderful gardener. Dad felt his greatest accomplishment in life was raising his children and grand children. His second greatest love was serving as a merchant marine during World War II. He was a father, protector and most importantly a mentor. Bob was born July 24th 1924 to John and Clara White in Ogden, Utah. Robert married Julie Ann Smith (deceased). He married Patricia White, later divorced. He married Mary Etta Johnson and their marriage was later sealed in the LDS temple.Dad was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Etta, parents, four siblings, Don White, John White Jr., Mae Parent and Fae McAlister, two step children, Scott Miller and Dennis Miller.Robert is survived by his children, Susan Gleason, Cheryll Marshal, Sandy Arnow, Scott White, Kim Haggin; stepchildren, Jessie Johnson Jr., Carree Miller, Tina Cabrel, Angela Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, 22 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren.Services will be held Saturday October 6th at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden at 4:00 PM. A viewing will be held Friday October 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Friends may call from 3:00 to 3:45 PM prior to the service. Interment will be held at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park.
