Obituary

Rodolfo Torrecillas passed away peacefully on March 26th, 2026, at the age of 69. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Rodolfo was born on December 31st 1956 in Benjamin Hill, Sorona Mexico to Manuel Inocencio Torrecillas Corrales and Maria Luz Frasquillo Valenzuela.

He grew up in the Mexicali area with his grandparents and held several notable jobs, including working as a sailor, a correctional officer, and a police officer.

He worked for Union Pacific Railroad in Salt Lake City and Provo, Utah, and at the Colton yard in California, serving as a machinist from 1989 to 2004 before retiring as a carman.

He attended Salt Lake Community College from 1990 to 1992 where he received his Associate Degree.

Rudy, survived by his wife, Graciela of 34 years, his children: Mike, Alex, Rodolfo Jr, Wendy and Dalila who will forever cherish his memory.

He lived a life marked by dedication. He was known for his sense of humor and dedication to his work and love of trucks and train engines.

His legacy of light humor will remain in the hearts of those he touched.

A service to honor Rodolfo’s life will be held on April 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah 84403, with a viewing held an hour prior at the same location.

Rodolfo Torrecillas falleció en paz el 26 de marzo de 2026, a la edad de 69 años. Fue un esposo, padre, abuelo y amigo muy querido, y será profundamente extrañado por todos los que lo conocieron.

Rodolfo nació el 31 de diciembre de 1956 en Benjamín Hill, Sonora, México, a Manuel Inocencio Torrecillas Corrales y María Luz Frasquillo Valenzuela.

Creció en el área de Mexicali con sus abuelos y desempeñó varios trabajos como marinero, oficial correccional y policía.

Trabajó por el ferrocarril, Union Pacific en Salt Lake City y Provo, Utah, y también en la ciudad de Colton en California, donde se desempeñó como maquinista de 1989 a 2004 antes de jubilarse como inspector de trenes.
