CLEARFIELD, UT, Ronald Peter Cooper, 70 passed away 13 September 2013 at home from a long illness. He was born 8 February 1943 to Charles Oliver Cooper and Dorothy A. Mooney Cooper in Mountainside, N.J. Ronald graduated from Our Lady of the Lake High School, Sparta, N.J. in 1961 and from Weber State University in Logistic Mgt. in 1985. He married Connie Jonas Cooper 4 September 1964 at Hill AFB, UT.
Born and raised in N.J., he joined the U.S. Air Force at 18 years old. During his 20 years of service he was in Vietnam and other Asian countries. He retired to Utah, worked at Hill Air Force Base as Logistician for 8 years then as a Scheduler for CITI from 1994 to 2009. Coop, as he was known, was well liked and socially conscious of people and their problems.
Coop is survived by his wife and three children & spouses; Ted (Luwayne) Cooper, Vince (Larie) Cooper and Kimberly Cooper, 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, also his brothers Raymond Cooper, N.J. Burtrum Cooper, PA, and sister Jean Perrelli, N.J.
In lieu of flowers please donate to any veterans organization. Cremation and inurnment will be at Leavitts Aultorest Memorial Park in Ogden, UT.
A memorial and luncheon will be on 21 September 2013 at the American Legion, 345 Depot St., Clearfield, UT from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in Basement room.
