Ronald "Ronnie" Dean Dittmer's Obituary

Ronald Dean Dittmer (Ronnie), 59, passed away at home on July 20, 2018. He had battled throat and neck cancer which he beat six years ago. Unfortunately, this evil enemy returned and won the final battle. Ronnie was born on April 22, 1959, to Ronald Herman Dittmer and Frances Renee Wilson. He was a graduate of Ogden High School. He worked at Defense Depot Ogden for several years. He married Colleen Jewkes on December 8, 2017, after meeting on a blind date 21 years ago and they have been together ever since. Ronnie would give those in need the shirt off his back. He enjoyed helping others. He loved to talk and was an animal lover. Other passions were bowling on several leagues, KISS (especially Gene Simmons), Miami Dolphins, Carolina Panthers, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Black Panthers, and Godzilla. He was a devoted Ogden Raptors fan and had season tickets for several years. He is survived by his loving wife Colleen Jewkes Dittmer; his mother and stepfather Larry Anderson; and two sons Luke Isaacson, Gayge Dittmer and their families. Also surviving is a brother Mike; sisters Tracy (Tim) Davis and Spring (Scott) Zimmerman; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ronnie will be missed by his current four-legged friends Buzz and Miss Kitty. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, sister Becky Wessler, grandma Donna Clark Wilson and great-grandma Clark who raised him to be the great man that he was. Special thanks to Dr. Luke Buchmanns team at Huntsman Cancer Hospital and CNS Hospice (Danita, Sheryl, Denise, Tony, Lindsey and Dr. Scott Moulton), CATMAN, thank you for everything you did and shared with me. I know that when its my turn, youll greet me with open arms and kisses. I Love You! A memorial service will be held at Three Links Tower in Ogden where Ronnie lived for over 20 years at a later date.
