Ronald Paul Romero passed away peacefully at his home in Eden, Utah on May 25, 2023, at the age of 88. He was born September 10, 1934, in North Hollywood, California, to Paul A. Romero and Lois Helen Schneider. He served active duty in the U.S. Army from July 1957 to July 1959. He then worked as a Letter Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 1988. The essence of Rons life in one word is "friends". He enjoyed spending time with the many he met through his work at the post office riding dune buggies and generally having a good time. In 1990, he and his wife Ruthie moved from North Hollywood to Eden, where he took up snowmobiling and made more friends that would last the rest of his life. In his later years, he enjoyed visiting the American Legion in Huntsville, Utah, where he gained even more friends. He is preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Ruth Louise Hedlund Romero. Surviving him are sister, Helen Joanne McCune; son, Ronald James Romero (Amber), grandchildren Kierra Marie, Derek Paul, Logan James, and Laci Rae, and great grandchildren, Elijah David, and Trinity Rose; daughter Nita Steitle (David), granddaughter, Kelsey Stokes (Rodney Brown), great grandson, Parker Stokes Brown, and grandson, Alek Stokes.
