Rosella Goodwin, 97, passed away at home on December 24, 2021.
She was born September 25, 1924, in Ogden, Utah to Elijah William Godfrey and Julia Ann Archibald. Rosella graduated from Ogden High School.
She married Clyde Verl Goodwin on December 23, 1942, in the Salt Lake City Temple.
Rosella loved and cherished family get togethers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a strong testimony and she served in many callings throughout her life.
Rosella retired from the IRS and enjoyed traveling with friends, family, the Good Sam’s Club and the Weber Waffies. They spent many winters in Yuma and St. George. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and the RoyAnns.
She loved to quilt, crochet, knit, embroidery and made many beautiful quilts, and numerous beautiful treasures.
She will be fondly remembered as a sweet grandmother, and she will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Rosella is survived by her children Robert Scott Goodwin, Brent (Karin) Goodwin, Bruce Goodwin, and Judy (Neil) Winterton. She has 15 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Rosella was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Verl Goodwin and son Vincent D Goodwin.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2021, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to Service.
Interment at Roy City Cemetery.
