Ross Earl Sibert's Obituary

Ross passed away on his 79th birthday, September 17, 2017, of an infection that eradicated his body. Ross was one of nine children born to Earl and Tera Sibert. He started working at the Ogden Stock Yards at the age of 14. With his earnings he was able to buy a car, he was one proud kid and would show off, dragging Washington Blvd. In 1956 he graduated from Ben Lomond High School where he excelled in wrestling. He served a short time in the Army but because of a bad hip they sent him home with an honorable discharge. On returning to Ogden he went to work for Roy City in 1960 where he remained for 57 years, at that time he retired in September 2016 due to illness. In 1974 he married Barbara Morton and became dad to six children, three of them teenagers. When these children were raised, they sold their home in Washington Terrace and bought in Uintah. Then in 1997 they sat their life plans aside to raise five grandkids. At this time of Ross passing there are still two at home to give Grandma (mom) support and company at this time in her life. Everyone he left here too early will miss him dearly but we are comforted by knowing he is now with his family he has missed so much and that he is free of pain which he has had for most of his life. Ross is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Doug (Becky) Morton, Dennis Morton, and Karen (Scott) Toone; brothers, Ralph and Wes Sibert; sisters, Betty Rokiver, Delene Hathaway, and Debra; 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and two more on the way. He was preceded in death by his sons, Jeff and Russell Morton; brothers, George and David Sibert; sister, Patricia Bartte; and his parents. Love ya!! Miss ya!! See ya!!
