Roy Anderson ClarkstonRoy Anderson Clarkston, age 74, passed away April 20, 2011 at Ogden Regional Hospital. He was born, May 27th 1936 to Anderson Booth and Marjorie Clarkston in Chickasha, Oklahoma.Roy graduated from Central State College, Oklahoma, with a BA degree. Roy served in the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve and the U. S. Army. He had special training in airborne operations, intelligence, military police, jungle warfare and special weapons. He also completed a nuclear weapons advanced training course with the United States Air Force. Roy worked as an intelligence officer for the Central Intelligence Agency for over twenty years. He received many commendations certificates for his superior performances. His years of service in all of these areas had taken him all over the world. After Roy resigned from the C. I. A. he focused his entrepreneurial skills on developing profitable projects here and abroad aimed at benefiting people and communities in need. His special area of concern was with the Native American Tribal communities.Roy married Sally Hanes in 1961 and they later divorced. He met Linda Lee Fox in 1979 and they married in 1984. Roy was a member of Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church and Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church. His faith was strong and he studied and read constantly the Bible and countless books about the church pertaining to Her faith. He is survived by his wife Linda, son Todd, daughter Kelly Witchey, son in law Will and granddaughter Brianna. Also survived by one sister, many aunts, uncles and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents.Special thanks and love go out to the medical staff at Ogden Regional Hospital, the University of Utah and Stewart Rehab for their loving and professional care of Roy these past months.The funeral will be held at Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church, 674 42nd Street, Ogden, at 11:00 a. m. Tuesday April 26th.
