Rulon Yorgason was the son of Charles Edward and Esther Mathilda Erickson Yorgason. Predeceased brothers include Kenneth, R. Milton, and Elden Yorgason, as well as sister Florence Coffman. He is survived by his sister Myrtle McPhie, children Diane Yorgason-Quinn, Kim Charles Yorgason, and Gail Yorgason, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rulon Yorgason as a young man was an entrepreneur who owned a small model airplane business. He was also in the auto parts business with his father and brothers. When WWII came along, he served in the army in the Philippines, New Guinea, and at the end of the war in Japan as a member of the Army Signal Corps. He married Jessie Bishop after the war, and they had three children. His next career was as a schoolteacher in the Ogden School District for 23 years. After retirement, he had many hobbies, but notably he became an activist in local city politics, keeping the Ogden City Council and mayor on their toes.
The family would like to thank the George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home where Rulon resided until his death.
