Russell Martin Dalton passed away on January 25, 2026 at the age of 78. He was born in Ogden Utah on July 25th, 1947 to Edith (Fox) Dalton and Garth Dalton. He graduated from Ogden High School and married Vickie Branz. They had two daughters, and later divorced. Russ worked for Mountain Fuel Supply Company (later becoming Questar Gas) until taking an early retirement.

In retirement he spent his time on the two things he loved most: family and golf. He was a devoted father and grandfather, attending almost every school program, music recitals, sports practices, games, and quite a few field trips. He was the best "free" babysitter for all of his grandchildren, and they benefited greatly from his constant presence, guidance, and love. He was also a grandfather to pets Bailey, Bruno, Oscar, Bella, and Marcel. He loved them all.

Russ was known as a helper to all: friends, neighbors, and especially family. You could always count on him. He also had the best sense of humor, always wanting to make everyone laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Russell is survived by his daughters Michelle Olmstead (Douglas) and Kami Andrus, as well as his 3 grandchildren: Benjamin, Ethan, and Olivia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Rodney.

Private services were held at Leavitt's Mortuary.
