IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Russell
Thomas
August 3, 1943 – June 10, 2025
It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving husband, father and grandfather Russell Thomas 81, who departed this life peacefully at home on June 10th, 2025.
Russell was born to Emmett and Vera Hayes Thomas. He was raised in Layton, Utah. He graduated from Davis high school in 1961. He has always loved the outdoors and tending to his garden. His favorite past time and hobby was wood carving. Always making beautiful walking sticks.
He met his wife of 55 years in the fall of 1969. They eloped December 21, 1969, to Winnemucca Nevada on a Sunday with their friends that introduced them in tow. Her older brother Stephen said "It will never last since you were married on a Sunday." 5 years later they were sealed in the LDS temple.
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Linda, children Todd, (Cindy) Thomas, Tracy (David) Maltby and Jill (Kyle) Cheshire his very loved grandchildren, Zackary, Wesley, Colby, Trevor, Nickolas, Theodore, Jackson, Connor and Kalli.
He was proceeded in death by his father Emmett, his mother Vera, sister Joan Flinn, brother-in-law Ray Flinn, brother-in-law Brent Innes, brother-in -law Stephen Innes.
We would like to thank our neighbors that took time to visit him while he was sitting outside.
A special thanks to Halen and Asher.
