Ruth E. Hill Clawson passed away, in the Lord, at the age of 91, on May 25, 2014. She was born in Selingsgrove, PA., on May 30, 1922 to Milton B. and Laura V. Hill. Ruth graduated from Takoma Park Academy, Takmoa Park, MD. She married John F. Worring Sr. in June 1943, they later divorced. She married Thomas H. Clawson, May 11, 1970 in CouredAlene, Idaho. She began her civil service career as a clerk typist for the US Treasury Dept. in 1940 in Washington. DC, and retired as an item manager at Hill A.F.B. in 1974. Ruth loved square dancing, traveling with her sweetie Tom, reading, crocheting, and spending time with their combined families. She enjoyed their trips to Alaska, their snow birding to different parts of the country, trips with siblings, and a quiet evenings reading or playing games with their grandchildren. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Ogden. Ruth enjoyed her church family and friends for their many sources of joy and love. Ruth is survived by her husband Thomas, children: Wanda Jean (John) Jackson of Roy, UT, John (Glenna) Worring of Layton, UT, Michael (Dorothy) Clawson of Van Couver, WA, Cathy (Bill) Partner of Murray, UT. Her siblings: Ethelmary Elliott, Freda Land, Suzanne Elliot, and Milton Hill Jr. Ruth was blessed with eight grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Harry and Richard Hill, and a sister: Jean Williams "Come Quickly Lord." The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Michael Woolman and nurse Rita at South Ogden Family Medicine and Applegate Hospice nurse Makell. Friends may visit with family at Leavitts Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT, on Friday, May 30, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. Services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with a viewing one hour prior.
