Ruth Marler DunlapRuth Alene Dunlap, age 80, passed away January 11, 2012.Ruth was born in Rockcastle County, Kentucky on September 3, 1931, daughter of the late George B. Marler and Rissie ONeal Marler. She moved to Grand Junction, Colorado in 1943 where she met and married Richard E. Dunlap on May 4, 1950. They moved to Ogden, Utah in 1960.She was a homemaker and the mother of two daughters, Carol Dunlap Wright and Janet Dunlap Nielsen. She is survived by her daughter Janet Nielsen, Riverdale, UT., her granddaughter, Erica Brooks, grandson Bill Newbold, two great-grandsons; Carson and Cash Newbold, her brothers; Glen Marler of Durango, Co., Kenneth Marler, of Phoenix, AZ., and sister Charlene Richardson of Grand Junction, CO.Her daughter Carol preceded her in death in 1983 and her husband in 1995, also her brothers Harold and Marvin Marler and Earl Ficklin. According to Ruths wishes no services will be held. Cremation will be under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary. A private family service will be held at a later date.
