Ruth Louise Romero, 82, passed away March 2, 2016 in Ogden, Utah. She was born April 23, 1933 to Murray William and Laura Mae Brydson in Los Angeles, California. Ruth graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1951. She married Harlan Hedlund in 1955 and had two children, Juanita Louise and Debra Mae. She divorced Harlan in 1977. On May 4, 1988 she married her long-time friend and companion, Ronald Romero in Hawthorne, Nevada. Ruthie loved animals and she loved to sing. She enjoyed outdoor activities like boating, water skiing, and camping. She worked in the consumer lending department at the Beverly Hills Branch of Bank of the West from 1976 until her retirement in 1990. She and Ron then moved from North Hollywood, California and retired in Eden, Utah. For many years she enjoyed snowmobiling and other off-road activities. She would frequently travel to Texas to spend time with her daughter, Nita, and her grandchildren, Kelsey and Alek. Ruthie is survived by her husband, Ron Romero; daughter, Nita Steitle (David); granddaughter, Kelsey Stokes and grandson, Alek Stokes. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Debra Mae; sister, Dorothy and brother, Bill.
