Ruth Bradbury Vandenarend Ruth Bradbury Vandenarend, 85, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2013 at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living in Ogden, Utah. She was born in Ogden, Utah on November 28, 1927 to Chauncey and Louesa Miller. She married Jeter Edward Jones. They had one daughter and two sons. They later divorced. She married Cecil Bradbury on November 14, 1959. They had two sons. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS temple. He preceded her in death on December 22, 1985. On August 23, 1991 she married John Vandenarend. Ruth loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed camping, gardening, and was an avid doll collector. She was a member of the LDS church. She worked at McKay Dee Hospital. Despite significant health problems, Ruth remained positive and cheerful. She was a wonderful role model for those who knew her. Ruth is survived by her husband John, daughter Mary Adams, sons John (Debbie) Jones, Quinn Jones, Jay (Donna) Bradbury, Jerry Bradbury, 7 stepchildren, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 11 brothers and sisters. The family would like to thank Mountain Ridge Assisted Living, Applegate Home Care, and their staffs. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the mortuary and on Tuesday from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Logan Cemetery.
