Sa Chanthavone

Sa Chanthavone, 86, passed away on February 21st, 2022, with her family by her side in Clearfield, Utah.

She was born July 13th, 1935, in Bueng Kan, Thailand to Koew and Salee Phuttaarmart. Her mother was a homemaker, her father was a farmer. She got married to Kongkham Chanthavone at the age of 18 in Thailand.

This couple then moved to the capital of Laos, Vientiane after getting married. At the age of 21 this couple is then blessed with their first born child Saykeo Chanthavone, along with six others (Khonesavanh Singta-Chanthavone, Outhaivone Chopito, Phousivanh Chanthavone, Phouhongkham Chanthavone, Phoumano Chanthavone, Viengkeo Noyvong) by the year of 1972. This large family decides to leave everything behind and start their new journey to the United States of America on January 6th, 1981.

Her interests included family, gardening, sewing, cooking and watching Thai dramas. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members.

Mrs. Chanthavone is survived by her kids: Saykeo Chanthavone with one son, Khongsavanh Singta-Chanthavone with her spouse and three sons, Phousivanh Chanthavone with two daughters, Viengkeo Noyvong with two sons, 12 grandkids and seven great-grandkids in total.

She was preceded in death by husband, and her two daughters (Kongkham Chanthavone, Outhaivone Chopito, and Phouhongkham Chanthavone.)

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. with a viewing held prior to services at 11:00 a.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36^th Street, Ogden, Utah.
