Sally Ann Ashton Ricketts, 72, passed away 8-16-11 peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Sally was born March 25, 1939 to Ermal and Alta Ashton in Devils Slide, Utah. Sally later moved to Ogden where she met and married her soul mate Bruce Ricketts. They were married 43 years and from this union came four children. Bruce preceded her in death in 1993. We take comfort in knowing they are together again. Mom will be forever remembered for her unwavering support and unconditional love for each of her kids and their families including her handicapped brother in law, Lynn Ricketts whom she was like a mother to for the past 16+ years. She also leaves behind several lifelong friends who, along with her kids, remained by her side at the time of her passing; Eva May Evans, Pat Hill, and Sherry Ricketts. Sally loved animals and always had at least one canine companion. Most recently her two dogs, Lucky and Shihtaki, whove been anxiously awaiting her arrival on the other side. Special thanks to James and the staff from Rocky Mountain Hospice for helping fulfill her final wishes to come home. Sally is survived by her four children; Michelle (Kenny), Brandon, Brock (Cassi), and Crystal. Grandchildren; Bryce, Tyler, Shaylee, Anij, Jordan, Chace, Tanner, Brock Jr., Brother in law, Lynn Ricketts all of Ogden. Sister- Eva May (Don) Evans, Fair Oaks, CA., And too many nieces, nephews, friends and relatives to list. Proceeded in death by her husband, parents, and brother Kenneth Dale Ashton. Per moms request no formal services will be held. She will be cremated under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
