Samuel Lenton Hamilton passed away on September 15, 2015.
Sam was born December 27, 1996 in Majuro, Marshall Islands.
Sam was a 2015 graduate of Bonneville High School where he played trumpet in the band, was a founding member of the chess crew, and was the manager of the girls volleyball team. He was a student at Weber State University interested in a degree in Computer Science. Sam was the 2012 Northern Utah Ambassador for the Muscular Dystrophy Association where he raised awareness about his disease. Sam never let his disability hold him back. He played soccer. He was a Boy Scout. He loved to travel and see new places.
Sam was musically gifted, playing trumpet, drums and piano. He was a member of the Weber County Honor Band and the Weber State University Honor Orchestra. He was an avid and skillful video game player. He made many on-line friends across the country. He loved animals and had a special ability to connect with them. Sam was proud of his Marshallese heritage and was trying to learn the language.
Sam was blessed with wonderful friends throughout his life who saw past his handicap and just treated him as their best buddy and Sam loved them for that. Sam was the most kind-hearted, generous, and funny person imaginable. His smile and dimples lit up a room. He made it his personal mission to take care of his friends and family.
