Sandra was born on February 19, 1948, in Ogden, Utah, to Phyllis and Merle Kingsford. Growing up in a large, loving home, she was the third of seven children. She grew up in Clinton, Utah, and she graduated from Clearfield High School. She moved to Texas in the early 1970's and lived there the remainder of her life. On July 23, 1970, she married Ellis Oliver Phillips Jr. Together, they welcomed two children, Deborah and Glen, before later divorcing.
Sandra was a dedicated employee, working faithfully at Dickie's for years before her retirement. She was also a lifelong, devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Sandra expressed her love for others through her many talents. She was a skilled seamstress who spent countless hours making beautiful clothing for her family. She was also known for her creative touch, famously crafting unique gifts for others in her life. She also had a passion for baking, filling her loved ones' lives with sweetness. She loved making memories with her family and loved reliving those moments. For many years, Sandra shared life's joys and adventures with her best friend, Sandy Little, until her passing in 2012.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dellalee Code; and her brothers-in-law, Richard Code and Luther Brady. She is survived by her two loving children, daughter Deborah Kirstine (Brian Betsinger) of Fort Worth, TX, and her son Glen Phillips of Fort Worth, TX; as well as 1 granddaughter, Kamryn Betsinger. She also leaves behind five siblings and their spouses: Katherine Kingsford of Clinton, Utah, Karl Kingsford and his wife LuAnn Kingsford of Roy, Utah, Kenny Kingsford and his wife Liane Kingsford of Provo, Utah, Francine Brady of San Bernadino, California, and Robert Kingsford of Layton, Utah. Her memory will also be cherished by numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
