Riverside- Sarah Maureen Daugherty, age 39, passed away peacefully at home on September 8th, 2015, surrounded by loved ones. She was born to Robert and Maureen Lee on September 23, 1975 in Snoqualmie, WA. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Sarah married Trent Daugherty on October 3rd, 2008. A life time fighter of Cystic Fibrosis, Sarah received a gift of life, two beautiful pink lungs from her Angel Donor December 1st, 2007. She celebrated every day following the transplant and a lot of those days family had a hard time keeping up with her! Sarah was an avid reader and with that and her love for all children, volunteered hundreds of hours at the local schools assisting students with learning. She had a huge love for animals, especially horses. At a young age, Sarah had many pets and saved more stray animals than can be counted. She enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing with her husband. As often as her health allowed, she was off on some adventure. Sarahs favorite getaway place was Flaming Gorge, UT. She is survived by her daughter; Kaitlyn (Lee) and Matt Loertcher, her son; Calvin and Jamaica Brown; two grandchildren, Zoey and Hunter. She is also survived by two brothers, two sisters, a large extended family and many friends she considered family. The family is holding a Life Celebration for Sarah on Saturday, September 19th from 2:00 -4:00 pm at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. There will be no viewing but a celebration of her life and accomplishments. A private entombment ceremony will be held following the celebration for family members that receive a personal invitation over the next couple of days. Sarah has asked that everyone wear bright happy colors to help with the celebratory atmosphere. Come prepared to impart a special memory you share with Sarah. Refreshments will be provided. Sarahs family would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their lovely thoughts, prayers, love and condolences.
