SAFELY HOME I am home in Heaven, dear ones; Oh, so happy and so bright!There is perfect joy and beauty In this everlasting light.Senaida Martinez CandiaSenaida Martinez Candia, age 89, passed away peacefully Thursday May 17, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 5, 1922 to Desiderio Martinez and Juanita (Molina) Martinez in Garland Utah, then moved to Ogden where she raised 6 children with her loving husband Santos Candia, whom she married in Amarillo Texas in June of 1945.She was employed during WWII at the local Military Arsenal. She worked for 10 years at Ogden Poultry also at the Del Monte local cannery. She graduated in Electrical training at WSC in 1974 where she soon was employed with Sperry Rand Univac as a supervisor. She was actively involved with the American GI Forum, St Josephs Catholic Women and St. Josephs Church choir. Mom devoted her life and time to her family and church. Her past time hobbies were canning, baking, crocheting and gardening.Senaida M. Candia is survived by her children, Rosemary Candia Howard (Steven); Pamela Candia Hernandez (Bernie); Frank Candia (Berlinda); Rebbecca C. Candia. Also surviving are grandchildren; Tracey RaNae Candia; Dana L. Prestwich Lyndsey R. Howard; CaSandra, Adrienna Dezirae Hernandez; Frank Jr. Jimmy Lee Candia; Meagan Urban, Justin, Eric Matthew Crosby; Amanda Dugger; Great-Grandchildren Morgan Porter; Kole Prestwich; Austin Rich; Abriana Landin; Jayce, Carlos Jr. and Natalie Guerrero; Kolbie DaVian Tiznado; Jeremiah and Trinity Candia; Kaden Crosby; Alexis, Camara, Anthony Tim Echavarria Jr; and Great-Great grandson Kyebren AsalaPreceded in death by, Gabriel Candia, Santos Candia, Mary Madeline Candia Desiderio Candia.Para todos mi compadres y comadras mis Amigos y Amigas Dios Biendiega!!The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the Legacy House assisted living for their kindness and professional care. Also a special thank you to Dignity Hospice.Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday May 23, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Josephs Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden.
