Our beloved Seth Conrad Nelson (42) passed away suddenly of a heart attack on August 1, 2015.
Seth was born on September 8, 1972 to Lynn Edward Nelson and JaAnna Jean Bowen in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Seth grew up in Salt Lake County, Utah. He graduated from Granger High School in 1990, and earned his Bachelors of Science degree from Utah State University in 2001.
Seth served a mission for the LDS church in the Argentina, Trelew / Neuqun Mission.
He was sealed to his high school sweetheart, Loralee Wallis, in the Salt Lake Temple on May 17, 1996.
Seth worked in the IT department at Thiokol, and more recently enjoyed working as a Preservation Planner at the Church History Library of the LDS Church.
Seth had a deep and abiding love for his family. He was an affectionate, caring, supportive, committed and adoring husband. He devoted much of his time to serving and loving his children, empowering them to make good decisions and be prepared for amazing lives. He appreciated the liberty God gave each of us to learn and grow, and to become like Him. He was a problem solver, thinking things through with logic and reason, and helping lead others to truth. He loved to have lively discussions and dig deeper on important issues. He was a leader, a listener, and a teacher. He was a kind, "gentle giant" of a man.
He is survived by his wife Loralee Wallis Nelson; children Miriam, Melydi, Kaycia, Malachi, and Enoch; parents, Lynn and JaAnna Nelson; siblings, Ammon (Heather) Nelson, Joel (Joy) Nelson, Marcela (Danny) Christensen, Jarom (Michele) Nelson, Athena (Cannon) Meza, Celeste (Tracy) Druce, Kaleb (Sarah) Nelson, Teresa (Mike) Hopkins, Brin (John) Coulter; 37 nephews 29 nieces and many more in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love him very much.
