Obituary

Sharlene "Charlie" Montgomery 1935-2011God looked around His gardenAnd He found an empty place. And then He looked down upon the earth, And saw your tired face.He put His arms around you, And lifted you to rest.Gods garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.He knew that you were suffering, He knew you were in pain, He knew that you would neverGet well on earth again. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids, And whispered "Peace be thine."It broke our hearts to lose you.But you didnt go alone, For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. On April 10, 2011 we lost a very special lady. Our beloved mother quietly left us to join those who had gone before her. Mom was born in Ogden Utah on June 3, 1935 to Violet and Hugh. She was one of 5 children. She is survived by her children Rick (Cindy), Gary, Teri, Cheri, Kristi and Lana, 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Larry (Margie), sisters Dixie, Roylene and Kathy. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Blaine and her very precious son Bobby. Mom will forever be remembered for her kind heart and her incredible sense of forgiveness, her love of family and friends, her devotion to all animals in need and her wicked sense of humor. Mom was a proud foster Grandparent for the Weber County School District. The many kids she helped and the teachers she worked with meant a great sense of accomplishment for her. Her family wishes to acknowledge all of those who helped Mom in her time of need. Many thanks to Susan and Ed, Dr Weeks whose patience and caring towards Mom was priceless, her lifelong friends, and a very special prayer for Moms grandson Jerad of Beaverton, Oregon who never failed to keep in touch with his Grandma. She cherished every minute she spent chatting up a storm with you Jerad; your devotion to your Grandma was awesome. We would also like to show our appreciation to the Weber County Sheriffs Department and the paramedics who answered our call for help. We will be forever grateful for the compassion shown towards our family in our time of sorrow. In keeping with Moms wishes there will be no formal funeral services. Family and friends are invited to the Liberty Cemetery in Liberty Utah on Friday April 15th at 3 pm where Mom will be laid to rest along with her little dog Brandi, next to her loving husband Blaine. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local animal shelter. Mom would like that. Cremation under the direction of Leavitts Mortuary.
