Shirlee Gene Johnson Fielding Hansen born January 3,1950 in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away September 26,2024 after complications of a blood clot.

Shirlee was the second of the 6 amazing girls gifted to Donald and Dona Johnson.

Shirlee spent most of her school life in the Salt Lake area, she did end up moving to Sparks, Nevada for her senior year.

Shirlee was married on January 17, 1970, to Michael Arthur Fielding in Riverdale, Utah. They later divorced.

Shirlee had four daughters. Donna Jean who died shortly after birth. Rayna La Rie who passed away July 3, 2024. Rebecca Lynn who died from SIDS at two months and Samantha Corley who survives her.

Shirlee later married Paul Terry Hansen on February 18, 1994, in Ogden. He later passed away in 2009.

Shirlee was a skilled photographer, and it was one of her many passions. She worked at The Bon Marche photo lab for a couple of years. Then started the path of her greatest accomplishment. She went to Weber State College, graduating in 3 years with a degree in elementary and secondary education.

Shirlee loved teaching and seeing the children's faces light up when they understood something. She loved reading stories, and her words would whisk you away to another word. Shirlee spent most of her teaching years at Central Middle School then later at Lincoln Elementary. She was asked why she didn't go into Principalship to which she replied I get to help create young minds and watch them blossom.

Shirlee was very proud of her work as a schoolteacher. She was also instrumental in getting SIDS recognized and getting a battered Women's shelter established in Ogden.

Shirlee was also a skilled violinist and artist.

Due to health challenges she had to retire from teaching.

Shirlee spent the last part of her life under the care of her eldest sister at her loving home in West Valley.

Shirlee was predeceased by her mother and father Donald(Dona) Johnson, her husband Paul Hansen, and her daughter Rayna(Andrew)Taylor, sisters Donna and Rebecca Fielding. She is survived by daughter Samantha Jaques, all her loving sisters Barbara (Dirk) Groen, Marj (David) Jones, Julie (Rick) Wilcox, Diane (James) Johnson and Karen.
