On October 19, 2018, Shirley Blanche Carson Hogensen returned to her heavenly father. She was our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was born on May 9, 1934, to Truman and Mildred Carson in Lehi, UT. She graduated from Lehi High School and attended LDS Business College. She worked for many years at Hill Air Force Base. She married Marvin C. Hogensen on the 9th of October 1964 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were together until Marvin passed away in 1996. They had one son, Scott. Shirley was an avid gardener, having spent many hours working in her magnificent garden. She also had a passion for family history, with a particular interest in the Isle of Man. She really loved being with her family, especially around the holidays when she would extensively decorate her home for family and visitors. Her grandchildren Travis, Olivia and Thomas, were the light of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin, brother Leland and infant brother and sister John and Myrna. She is survived by her son, Scott (Michelle). Funeral Services will be held at Leavitts Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden, UT on Friday, October 26, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the Services.
