IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sidney "Sid" Junior
Robinson
December 11, 1945 – January 5, 2025
Sidney "Sid" Robinson, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, January 5th, 2025.
Born the fifth of seven children on December 11th, 1945, to John Sidney and Ivy Robinson, in Ogden, Utah. Sid was raised in a close-knit family that instilled values of integrity and compassion. He graduated from Weber High School in 1964, where he met the love of his life, Hope Simmons. The two shared an inseparable bond and were married on March 5, 1966, beginning a partnership that lasted 57 beautiful years until Hope's passing in 2023.
Sid proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Thailand and later in Arizona, Texas, and Florida. After several years of service, Sid and Hope returned to Utah to be close to family and to plant deep roots in Marriott-Slaterville, where he built a cherished forever home for his loved ones.
A talented and dedicated plumber, Sid initially worked for Pitcher Plumbing before founding his own business, Sid's Plumbing, in 1985. His work ethic, integrity, and skill earned him respect in the community, and the business later grew into S&B Plumbing, a testament to the relationships and reputation he built with local contractors.
Sid and Hope were blessed with four children: Robert Robinson, Cathy Robinson (Jason Haynes), Brian (Pam) Robinson, and Cristy Luna. They also found immense joy in their growing family, including five grandchildren: Stephanie Haynes (Tanner King), Katlyn (Bradley) Brower, Casey Haynes, Brayden Robinson and Presley Robinson, as well as two great-grandchildren, Violet and Eloise Brower, with two more sweet babies on the way.
Sid's hobbies reflected his zest for life. He enjoyed attending gun shows, collecting firearms, coin collecting, hunting, and gardening. Trips to Las Vegas held a special place in his heart, where he thrived on the energy and excitement of the city. Above all, Sid was known for his remarkable generosity and kind spirit, always ready to lend a hand to those in need.
Sid is survived by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three brothers—Irvin Robinson, Neil (Kay) Robinson, and Leon (Gay) Robinson—and his sister Barbara (Max) Barrow.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hope; his parents, John Sidney Robinson and Ivy Louise Waters; and his brothers, Mervin and Ivan Robinson.
A viewing will be held on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary located at 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah.
Sid will be cremated, and a private family ceremony will be held at a later date to lay him to rest alongside his beloved Hope.
His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
