On March 8, Simon Furlong died suddenly of a rupture caused by an AVMArteriovenous Malformation.
All who loved Simon are now heartbroken to never get to go on another adventure or have another deep philosophical discussion with him.
Simon graduated from Ogden High School. While there, Simon was on the school swim team and cross-country team. He worked for the school magazine The Literary Harvest, under Margaret Rostkowski, was a violinist in the school orchestra, and was in the high school theater group under Joe Crnich.
Simon earned his bachelors degree from WSU. While there he worked for and contributed to The Metaphor, worked in the campus library, and wrote for the college newspaper, The Signpost.
A memorial service will be held on May 4, 2019, in Ogden, Utah, at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Ogden at 11:00 A.M. with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, Simons family respectfully requests donations to the U.U.C.O. Namaste.
