Sonya Lee Harbertson's Obituary

Sonya Lee Douglas Harbertson was born in Ogden, UT October 2, 1946 to Donald J. Douglas and Lida Garner. She was raised by Donald and Dixie Douglas in the Ogden area. She was freed of her earthly pain and trials October 14, 2018. She attended Ben Lomond High School. Sonya married Edward Harbertson and together they had three beautiful children; Guy, Stacey, and Doug. She loved the outdoors and animals, had many great memories with her family doing the things they loved including horse racing, raising the farm animals and helping within the many family businesses. Later she was blessed with nine beautiful grandchildren who were her world. She quit working to help take care of all her grandchildren. All of the grandchildren have countless memories with grandma. One of her most cherished titles was GiGi, which is what her 12 great-grandchildren called her. We are so blessed to have had her in our lives and the memories we have with her. She made an imprint on every person she came in contact with and was liked by all. She loved deeper than most and would do anything for anyone. She was giving, kind and fierce. She was known and loved for her inappropriate, quick witted sense of humor. Sonya is survived by her loving husband, Edward Harbertson; children, Guy (Karen) Harbertson, Stacey (Cliff) Adams, and Doug (Debbie) Harbertson; grandchildren, Tyrel (Katie) Milly, Ainsley, Maisy, and Calvin Mikesell, Shyan (Taylor) and baby boy Christensen, Hailey (Cody) Kashlyn and Braylen Reuther, Briggs Harbertson, Baylee (Travis) Fynlee and Swade Marriott, Morgan (Tyson) Emree and Hudson Lambert, Brooke Adams (Brian), Dustin and Kacie Harbertson. Brothers, Gary (Karlene) Douglas, and Clyde (Judy) Douglas; sisters, Karen (Corky) Hammer and Pam Hampton; sister-in-laws, Sharyl McHugh and Karen Smith as well as many nieces, nephews and so many friends. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, stepmother, great-grandson Maddux Mikesell, in-laws Ed and Evelyn Harbertson and brother-in-law Guy G. Harbertson. The family would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support that has been shown by so many in this difficult time including Weber County Sheriffs, Search and Rescue, the Warren wards and so many family, friends and strangers. There are huge holes in our hearts we hope to eventually fill with the endless memories we have made. We love you Mom, Grandma, Gigi. You will be missed by so many!!!
