Steven Petersen

Steven Michael Petersen, 39, passed away on March 19, 2021. Mike was born on January 21, 1982, at 3:43 p.m.; our lives forever changed. The first of three boys, then came Bryce on St. Patty’s day 1984, then Lance on April 19, 1985. These three were thick as thieves from then on. In September 2003, Mike married Jamie Hunter; together they gave us our sweet Bailee. She is always going to be “daddy’s girl”. Mike and Jamie later divorced. Mike and his brothers did a lot of fishing and just hanging out playing cribbage. The Petersen boys love to game. He did a lot of golfing. He and Cody took Bailee out a lot teaching her to golf with them. None of us will ever know the pain and turmoil Mike was in, he always said “don’t worry about me momma, I’m fine”. I knew he wasn’t, but I tried my best to get him to talk. Mike has so many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He will never be forgotten; he will be with us all in our memories forever until we see his handsome, silly face again. Mike is survived by his daughter Bailee, parents; Cheryl Coomes, Steve and Annette Petersen, brothers; Bryce (Heather), Lance (Bree), sisters; Kelli (Freddy) Murray, Jamie (Sean) Leech, Cara “little sister” (Dave) Olsen, and his beloved grandma Daisy. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Dave and Della Petersen, Ray Coomes, cousins; Eric Gibby, Lucas Martin, and his best friend Koda Bear. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, March 26, 2021, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836 36th Street, Ogden, Utah. Due to COVID-19 Restrictions Face Masks are required for attendance. To send flowers to Steven's family, please visit our floral store.
